Photometric calibration methods for wide-field photometric surveys

چکیده

Uniform and accurate photometric calibration plays an important role in the current next-generation wide-field imaging surveys. Herein, we review modern methods, including classic standard star method, “hardware/observation-driven" methods (such as Ubercalibration, Hypercalibration, Forward Global Calibration Methods), “software/physics-driven" (e.g., Stellar Locus Regression, Locus, Color Regression Methods). Further, discuss their advantages, limitations, future developments toward millimagnitude precision calibration.
